Rather than relying on traditional layer-based editing or manual light placement tools, LuminaBrush uses advanced AI algorithms to understand the geometry and materials within an image and apply physically plausible light effects based on simple brush strokes drawn directly on the canvas.

The tool operates through a two-stage AI process. In the first stage, the system normalizes the input image to a uniformly lit baseline, removing existing lighting artifacts and preparing the scene for fresh illumination.

In the second stage, the AI generates new illumination effects based on the user's brush inputdetecting where light sources should appear, calculating how light interacts with different surface materials, and rendering shadows, highlights, and color temperature shifts accordingly.

This approach allows users to add or completely redesign the lighting of a scene with unprecedented control.

LuminaBrush features an intuitive color-coded brush system where users draw on the image to specify the location, direction, and color of desired light sources. The real-time preview engine shows how lighting changes will affect the final image as the user paints, enabling fast iteration and experimentation.

Advanced layer controls allow multiple light sources to be added independently and adjusted for intensity, falloff, and color without affecting one another.
