The smart editor at the core of Lovelace offers syntax highlighting across multiple programming languages, intelligent code autocomplete that suggests completions based on context, and the ability to perform inline AI edits directly within the code.

This means developers can highlight a section of code, describe an intended change in natural language, and have the AI modify the file in placewithout leaving the editor to interact with a separate chat interface.

The AI assistant layer in Lovelace supports multiple modes and connects to AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and xAI. In 'Agent' mode, the AI can directly modify files, create new files, and navigate the project structure to make multi-file changes.

In 'Ask' mode, it answers questions and provides code suggestions without making direct modificationsallowing developers to choose the level of autonomy they want the AI to operate with.

Git integration connects directly with GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket accounts, enabling developers to clone existing repositories, commit changes, and push new projects without leaving the Lovelace environment.
