I tested GoMim with three problems: a mid-level algebra word problem, a calculus integral, and a basic geometry proof. The algebra word problem was the highlight — most AI tools mangle word problems by misreading the setup; GoMim parsed it correctly and walked through the steps in tutorial voice. The integral was correct and the explanation was decent, though it skipped one substitution step that a tutor would have called out. The geometry proof was the weakest area — the tool is more comfortable with computational problems than with formal proof construction, which is a known gap across this category. For homework help and self-study at the high-school-through-undergrad level, GoMim is competitive with Photomath. For advanced math or proofs, you'll still want Wolfram Alpha or a human tutor.
