Originally launched as an independent open-source project and acquired by Workday in August 2025, Flowise has grown into one of the most popular frameworks for assembling production-ready AI workflows without writing boilerplate integration code.

The platform provides three distinct visual builders tailored to different complexity levels. The Assistant builder is the most beginner-friendly option, ideal for spinning up simple chatbots and Q&A systems.

Chatflow handles single-agent configurations and advanced retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, while Agentflow manages multi-agent orchestration where multiple specialized agents collaborate to complete complex, multi-step tasks.

Flowise supports over 100 LLMs, embedding models, and vector databases out of the box, making it one of the most flexible options in the ecosystem. Developers can connect OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, HuggingFace models, and dozens of others via a unified interface.

The platform handles RAG applications by providing native components for document loaders, text splitters, vector stores, retrievers, Graph RAG, and rerankers, enabling sophisticated knowledge-base systems that can ingest data from PDFs, databases, APIs, and web sources.
